A catalytical flue gas treatment processing PSA offgas has been successfully started up at Atmosa in Schwechat, Vienna.

 

By means of a heat recovery and a BASF catalyst 100000 Nm³/hr flue gas are cleaned in a autothermic process.

 

The unit reduces carbon monoxid from 8000 mg/Nm³ to 80 mg/Nm³ while TOC is reduced from 4200 mg/Nm³ down to 20 mg/Nm³. 

 

The project has been realized as a turnkey project. Catalyst know-how came from BASF, whereas the heat recovery system and the contol scheme was developed by IAF.
